That's how I would describe how I felt on my Birthday. I do believe that this was my best birthday yet. I awoke to flowers and a balloon from my wonderful parents. I had a great breakfast and set off for school. upon my arrival, I was met at the door with cries of "Happy Birthday!" All day long, everyone was so sweet and did their best to give me the best birthday ever. From 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. my day was scattered with phone calls and text messages wishing me the best birthday ever. Family that was not here, friends from all around took time to let me know that I was being thought of. When I got to work about 3:45 I was given a gift from Wesley and Piper, two sweet little kids who go to church with me. Then, I was given an adorable pastry from Beth and her husband, David. The crew with whom I was supposed to work was, Miss Di, Beth, Stephanie and Sandy. Well, Beth got called in to work the day shift and Ariel took her place that night, but the original crew had been planning a surprise for me for over a week. I received a beautiful chocolate cake, flowers, a sweet card and five balloons! I was completely overwhelmed!! They went to so much work to make my night outstanding! Beth went and picked up the cake, Miss Di got my flowers, Sandy got the card, and Steph picked up the balloons... Could one ask for better people to work with?!? I certainly don't think so! Even the ones that didn't work that night made sure they told me "Happy Birthday" and that they would be thinking about me. I can't say a big enough THANK-YOU to the Wed. night crew for all that they did. I received much more than I deserve. You all are AWESOME!!!!!!
I want to thank my Mam-ma Schnell for the beautiful and very YUUMY cake she made for me. It was chocolate, of course, topped with the cutest little bee you've ever seen. She drew it off a picture and I loved it. Of course, her icing is my very favorite and I love to eat it by the spoonfuls, which makes my Mother go into convulsions!
When I got off work and came home, I found a box of chocolates that were handmade especially for me by Sister Flanagan! Her and Brother Flanagan gave me the sweetest card, too! I can't even begin to list everything that everyone did, but from my family, Jeff , Grace, and Nathan, and Flanagans to Bethany in North Carolina, to Dan and Gina in Pennsylvania, Everyone was incredible and did way too much!! Just wanted to take this time to let you all know that you are loved and greatly appreciated!! So, THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU to EVERYONE who made my seventeenth Birthday the greatest one yet!!!
To sum this post all up I feel like this. Incredibly Thankful to God for giving me the best family and friends, Totally overwhelmed by every one's generosity, and... surrounded by God's love and the love from all of you.
