Goodbye Christmas and 2008! Hello to the already eventful year of 2009!

Well the new year is at the door and I have not posted in forever! My one New Year's resolution is to do better at blogging! Christmas came and went with many wonderful surprises! Christmas Eve, the night that my Mom, Dad, and Me do our presents was very nice! I got a PINK digital camera that I have wanted for three years! I also got some clothes, shoes, and scrapbooking stuff! My parents and My Pap-pa and Mam-ma Schnell both got me an audio book on CD from heartsong. I received One Chance In a Million and Taking A Chance. Both stories are about the Chance brothers but they deal with two different couples journey to matrimony! I have listened to One Chance In a Million and thoroughly enjoyed it! I have started listening to Taking a Chance it I am enjoying this one as well! Aunt Kathy and Uncle Brian got me a GORGEOUS crystal pitcher! I am considered to be (as well as Aunt Kathy) a crystal junkie! Ya know all that glass stuff at Belks??? I LOVE it!! Seeing as how my birthday is coming up I figured I should start to drop hints as to what I want! Smile! Uncle Ted and Aunt Charlotte got me an adorable pink purse and some lotion! I love "smelly" stuff! I will be posting pictures of some of my favorite presents and some pics of my family opening their gifts. Isn't it cool to watch people's faces when they open up your present?!? I LOVE giving presents! I LOVE shopping for presents or anything else! Smile! We we're able to have Jeff, Grace, and Nathan Yohe, Sister Sanger and Wanda over to my Grandparents house for Christmas Day Dinner! I cannot imagine not having someone over on Christmas! Ever since I can remember, we have had elderly people as well as those who do not have family here over! It is encouraging to be an "adopted family" to those of our church. Come to think of it... We are not just adopted, we are TRUE family! We all share the same Father... The KING of KINGS. What better way to spend His Birthday than to be with some of His children?!?
One particular thought the Lord has given to me this Christmas season is this... He came to earth and laid aside every comfort of Heaven and eventually gave up EVERYTHING so that we could gain EVERYTHING! As I have pondered this I have contemplated the question WHY? again. Why did He come? Jesus came because out of Love. The day that He gave EVERYTHING up He said the three most loving words ever spoken. IT IS FINISHED! Jesus finished the gift of Salvation by thwarting the devil's plan to destroy and take every individual to hell! Praise the Lord! Is it any wonder why I love Him? He IS everything to me! My hearts' desire is that in this next year, the Lord will help me to become a more fruitful Christian for Him!

I will be posting more soon! Until then save up some sleep so that you can be up to ring in the New Year of 2009 with a pot and pan parade, fireworks or however else you celebrate!

A few of my favorite things!

Chocolate and Cheesecake are two of my favorite desserts, but when put together you are going to have a tussle on your hands if you are going to try to take it form me! LOL! My Aunt made this scrumptious chocolate cheesecake for Thanksgiving. It was Marvelous!!!!

Clowns and any thing or anybody that enjoys good clean fun are some of my very favorite things! My philosophy is this: If you have Jesus, Family, Friends, and Laughter you have the World! I enjoy giggling and laughing with those around me and spreading a little joy to this dismal world!

My Baby~ Sassy! Didn't she look stylish in her new clothes on Thanksgiving?!? I LOVE the hat! lol! She keeps us on our toes but she is SO lovable and sweet! Sass, is my pride and joy for sure!
Front row, L-R~ Jonathon, Vicky, Abby, Seth.
Back Row, L-R~ Cilla, Me, Nathan
Having Bible Study with the young people's group. This pic was taken when we had Bible study at my house a couple weeks ago. Vicky was the leader for that one and she gave a talk on Thankfulness. It was really good! Next time we have one, Priscilla will be doing "officiating." lol!
Everyone of them has done so good on their preparation and presentation of the Bible Study. I am proud to be apart of this group. Some recently got spiritual help and I am so happy! I pray that they will continue to grow and become powerful witnesses for HIM!

Sassy Joy...

I Thought I'd post a funny tidbit concerning the baby in the family. Sass or ,Skunk, as her grandpa calls her, is so sweet and lovable but she does have her times of naughtiness. Sassy especially enjoys chewing on slippers and socks! The only problem comes when Grandpa can only find one of his socks and he is trying to get ready for church! He can usually find his socks with his granddogger though! LOL! She is DEFINITELY a Grandma girl! Course' grandma doesn't spoil her or anything!LOL! I'll post pictures later. Enjoy watching Sass attack her favorite food, Corn on the Cob with much gusto! Pardon my Dads voice in there. The laying your ears back when you eat is a family joke...:) Notice that about half way through the video she looks up at me. She had eaten all the corn on that side of the cob and wanted more! TOO FUNNY!
Oh by the way only 170 more days til' graduation! Yeah!!!

Catch Up Time pt.2

Hello Again! There was alot more stuff that has happened in the last couple weeks but the most exciting was the start of our Bible Studies. Last year about this same time, the youth group of our church started a Bible study every other Sunday. After a couple months they kinda dwindled, but a couple weeks ago some of us were talking and decided to try it one more time. Yesterday was our first one. It was held at Priscilla and Vickys house, but Nathan actually taught. The study was called, Holiness: The Road To Victory. It was very stirring, and was a great encouragement to keep holding on to the only one who can keep us on the right path in this crazy world. After I get some of the notes I will post more about it. After we finished the Bible study we had a time of prayer and then Nathan, Priscilla, and I played the piano and sang some. Please keep the youth group in your prayers. The devil is fighting very hard to get us to stumble, but I know that through the name of Jesus we have overcoming victory. My heart has been full these last few days, with praise to Jesus. To stop and think about the fact that He loves me even though I am nothing and He is EVERYTHING! It is truly an amazing thought! I had to write a devotional poem for English, and as I sat there trying to think how to start, the Lord came so close and the thoughts just started pouring in. It was so AWESOME! I'd like to share it with you. As you read it think about Jesus, who is WORTHY to be PRAISED!

Be still my soul! Listen!
What is that I hear
Is it the voice of Satan drawing near
Has he come to do me wrong
to try to steal my joy and song
Oh no, it is a gentle voice
Saying,"Child, I am pleased! Rejoice!
You have fought the fight
To My hand you've held on tight
You've proved that you'll be true
In all the trials you've been through"
Ah, my soul, do not fear
This voice belongs to my Friend, so dear
Precious Jesus, all to thee
My praise and adoration be
You, my Saviour, rescued me
Out of all sins misery
Through each battle you've been there
holding me, helping me, showing me you care
Oh dear Jesus, Only You
Have kept me pure and true
I bow before thee and adore
You, Sweet Jesus, who'll lead me to Glory's shore

Isn't the Lord precious to you? He's so much more than I ever thought He would be. Jesus is a true friend, He's a Dayspring to the parched soul, He's our rock in the storms of life, Christ is THE answer to every problem that we are faced with. What a comfort to know that He already knows everything that we are going to be faced with, and already has sufficient grace in store for us.

I must close for tonight but before I do, I ask that all of you will pray for my friend, Bethany Covert, her Grand-ma has just been diagnosed with heart, lung, and bone cancer and doesn't have much longer to live. Please keep the whole family in your prayers.

Keep Smilin' and don't forget to Vote for McCain/Palin on November 4th!

Catch Up Time...

1. Test.

English IV, test 2 and 3. On t.2. I made a 98% and on t.3. which I took on Tuesday I made a 100% YEAH!!! One Home Ec test on which I made a 98%. Know what I missed? I said that pasta should be slightly tough when it is done! I NEVER want to eat my own pasta if it is tough after it has been cooked. My true brilliance was shining that day! LOL! Hello! How are all of you? I am doing pretty good. I have had a very FULL couple of weeks.

My mom's computer is still not working, and the one I am using now is slower than a 90 year old turtle. No lie! :-) Here is a brief look at what my life has consisted of in the last few weeks.

2. Party Time

Our Harvest Party for school was October the 17th at 6:00 p.m. . There was quite a group of us there. My parents were there. My dad came home from ocala and surprised me by picking me up from work on friday when I got off around 5:00 p.m. It was a terriffic surprise! Uncle Brian, Aunt Kathy, Luke and Emily, Uncle Ted, Aunt Charlotte, Kayla and Jenny, Pap-pa and Mam-ma, Nathan and his parents, Jeff and Grace, Priscilla and Victoria made up the rest of the group. We started out bobbing for apples. Vicky was the only one of us older ones' that got one. Next we had a donut eating contest! Donuts were tied onto strings and then hung across an opening. Five people lined and tried to eat at least half of the donut before it fell without using their hands. It is much harder than you think!! Lots of laughter accompanied that game, as you can imagine! After that we went on a hayride. Uncle Brian pulled the wagon with his tractor. It was so much fun! We met up with about 8 kids and 4 of them came over to the church later. It was awesome to be able to be a witness for Jesus to kids who have never heard the Gospel!

An inside look...

Hello! I thought I would give you all an inside look at my life first, so that you will be able to identify with everything that I will be talking about.
First off, I am a Senior in High School. I have only two classes which are: English IV and Home Ec. In English I am studying how the English language was formed and the great writers of the olden times, such as William Shakespeare and Sir Walter Sidney, who based their writings on Biblical principles. I also do quite abit of writing for English, and to aid me in this, I have a wonderful teacher who just happens to be my Mam-ma! For my first semester of Home Ec. I am learning how to cook. I was joined in this endeavor by my fellow three Classmates: Nathan Yohe, Victoria Blowers, and Priscilla Blowers. We have an incredible teacher named, Kathy Ogg! We have a great time in class as well as in the labs, where we have to cook. So far we have made Blitz Kuchen, Chocolate Chip cookies, French fries which were done in a deep fryer, and Pasta Ruffles with a YUMMY cheese sauce made from scratch.
I am eagerly counting down the days until my school days will be over. I have put in my fair share of test and essays and all the other monsters that haunt a students life! lol! On May 16, 2009 I will be moving on to a bigger school of learning. I will be attending the University of Life! I am sure that there is many interesting days ahead for me, but I know with Gods help and wisdom I can make it! Outside of school I also have a job. I work at Dairy Queen which is about seven minutes from where I live. It has been four and a half months since I started there. It has been wonderful to have a paycheck coming in every week with my name on it! I enjoy my job and work with the best people you could ask for. I am very thankful also for the Lord and His help in being able to witness to some of the girls that I work with. What a privilege it is to be His Servant!! You all must know that I also have a car named Annie. She is a Suzuki Forenza, with a tan complexion. She is extremely dainty and hates dirt roads, pot holes, and bugs. I love my little car especially because she does not eat alot! With gas prices the way they are, I am thankful Annie has a smaller appetite than some! My Mom and Dad are very special to me and I appreciate the Godly Heritage that they have given me. My dad is in construction and is now in Ocala for a while building a home there. He comes home in the weekends I think just to so he can mess with me! lol! Just kidding, it is really nice to have him home. My Mom works at the Elections Office, training people to work the polls on Election day. I help in there some and it is a really neat process. Other than that she stays very busy keeping up with me and my dog, who I call her Grandogger! My dad is not exceptionally happy about being called Grandpa by a puppy, but he loves her I know! Sassy. I could not end this post without telling you a little about my girl. She is a black and white fur ball, with a bigger attitude than her 4lb. body and has been able to wrap my entire family around her little paw in less than three weeks. She also is extremely prissy with her pink rosebud collar and bow charm with rhinestones on it. She loves to play with her toys, and her favorite is a pink ice cream cone that is almost as big as she is! Besides all that I just mentioned I am active in our church, Enjoy talking immensely, and being with my friends, and eating anything chocolate! My life has been blessed with many wonderful people for which I am thankful! Most of all I am thankful to the Lord who has made me His child and is preparing me for whatever work He has for me to do.
