Short and Sweet

Hey everyone! Just a short post for my Scripture Saturday!
Psalms 85:6 KJV
Wilt thou not revive us again : that thy people may rejoice in thee?

With our Revival right around the corner, I guess my mind is wandering more and more to the topic of asking the Lord to revive ME!! Oh Lord, start this revival in my heart and life! If there has ever been a time when we need to be on fire, it is NOW! I believe with all my heart that Jesus is coming VERY soon! Revival is not a ten day meeting with special workers, it is an inward renewing of your own fervor in your walk with the Lord. I have told the Lord that I am open to do ANYTHING to see Him come in a very real way. I long to see the Lord move in the glorious ways as He has in the past. As far as I am concerned, the fire doesn't fall nearly enough. I need to be on my prayer bones more. The ones' following me have the right to see God move in mighty ways just as I have seen Him move. It is MY responsibility to be prayed up and on fire before I get to church that way I am an open vessel for the Lord to work through. As I have read over this Scripture the more truth I see in it. If we are revived, or alive in Christ, we will have JOY, and if we have JOY then we will have strength to withstand the troubles of life. Isn't this verse awesome?!?!
I am looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for us not only in this Revival but throughout the year!

Enough for now... I will post more soon!

Fun School Day!

Last Thursday, was a hilariously funny day at school! Everyone was laid back and we had a great time! The special food was pigs in a blanket. Aunt Kathy and I made them and we appointed Mam-ma as our official server!

Aunt Kathy getting everything ready so we can munch on our lunch...

I think this is my favorite pic of the day. Mam-ma and Pap-pa neither one had any idea that I took this pic! :) They were laughing together and I zoomed in and with a quick snap of my camera, I had this cute moment captured!

I brought in a cake from DQ as a surprise. This pic gives a better view of the whole cake, while the next gives a close up of the writing. and design on top.

Nathan had just finished eating ice cream cake when I snapped this pic!

From here on things basically go down hill! LOL!!! Luke thought it was the funniest thing that his tongue turned blue after eating the blue frosting, and wanted me to take his pic. so you know what happened ALL the little ones wanted pics taken of their odd colored tongues. LOL! I think Jen wants to be a "spoon-billed" bird when she gets big! Kids are SO funny!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing a little of ONE of MANY of our crazy school days!! Keep Smilin' everyone!!!

Scripture Saturday!

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
Jeremiah 29:13 KJV

MY PRAYER

God, give me eyes that I might see
The work that can be done by me;

God, give me ears that I might hear
The cry of those who need me near.

God, give me lips that I might speak
Comfort and peace to all that seek.

God, give me a mind that I might know
How to help those who need me so.

God, give me hands that I might do
Some large or simple task for You;

God, give me a prayer that I might pray
Thy help and guidance every day.

And this one thing, all else above;
God, give me a heart that I might love.

Vincent Magro-Attard

I hope this poem has stirred your soul, as it has mine! I am asking the Lord to help me to see the people around me who need any help that I might be able to give! So many people need someone to care, and if I, as a Christian don't, who will? It is my responsibilty to pray and reach my hand out to those in need. Jesus has set a perfect example, so all I have to do is allow Him to pattern my life after His own.I love the Lord and want nothing more than to be like Him!

Keep Smilin' cause' Jesus Loves You!

Quote of the Day: If God had a wallet, your picture would be in it.

Ice and Frost in Sunny Sebring!

These pictures are of our backyard, and the grass of a new subdivision on the way to school. We had a hard freeze on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. IT WAS FREEZING!! lol! OK all you northeners can laugh! It was about 32 degrees Wed. night when I got off work about 10:45. I was about turn into a popsicle on the way to the car!smile!
Everyone was laughing at me on Thursday for taking so many pics of the frost and freeze. Oh well, I am a floridian and it is a BIG thing to me when we have this cold of weather! smile!
I am camping at Manatee State Park, right now. We have been here since Thursday evening and have had a completely restful time! It has been wonderful! My Dad came last night around 6:00 and so we have enjoyed a little time with him. I LOVE camping!!

One of the yummiest things...Chocolate!

These pictures were taken in December at the Florida Mall, in Orlando. The first pic shows a small amount of the colors they have available to buy at M&M world! I think they have pretty much any color you can imagine! M&M kitchen stuff, Office Decor, Clothing, and Pet stuff is just some of the things that they sell! It is a AWESOME!! They normally have M&M's to sample which is even better! lol! If you haven't ever been there you don't know what you're missing! You go in and it smells like Chocolate!!! I love it!

This picture is in front of the world's best chocolate store, Godiva! I dearly love any and all of their goodies! From the white chocolate pearls to a chocolate covered strawberry, to the BEST coconut macaroons you'll ever taste, I love it all! lol!
Make it one of your goals, to visit one of these incredible stores, and while you're there, remember me!!! LOL!

Ahhh! A Godiva chocolate drink... My mouth is starting to water just thinking about how yummy they are! I got milk chocolate decadence which was to die for! If you ever go to Godiva and really like chocolate, then try one of their drinks! You will not be sorry!

In case you have not figured it out by this point, I decided to go ahead and tell you that I am slightly fanatical about chocolate!
Keep smilin' everyone! I gotta' go for now but I had to do somethin' to brighten your day! Chocolate was the obvious choice for a topic! lol!

Enjoy the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir singing, Hallelujah Chorus, He's been Faithful, and I will bless Your name! Truly Jesus is worthy to be praised and adored! He has been so faithful to show me exactly where to go and what to do and I love Him! Jesus, I bless your name! I give you honor, I give you Praise! You are the light, the truth, the way! I bless Your name!

My Sweet Little Cousins!

I wanted to post some pictures of my little cousins and these pictures are some of my favorites! I think that my cousins are the cutest little presents God has sent to us! I hope that each one of them will grow up to love Jesus and always follow His direction! I Love You, Luke, Kayla, Emily, and Jenny!
Without further delay prepare to have your breath taken away by the total cuteness that you will be seeing!

This post would not be complete without a picture of my little angel cousin, Justin! He has spent the past nine Christmases with Jesus! God sent us this precious, little present to hold for just a short while, but to keep in our hearts forever! We all miss you but we know that we will see you again someday! Right now just keep waiting by the Pearly Gate, cause' we'll all be there in the morning! I Love You, Justin!

Earmuffs in Florida!

These poor fish and seahorse isn't the only thing that need earmuffs tonight! It registered 36 degrees, for the outside temp, on our thermometer in the car, on the way home from church tonight! YECH! That is to cold in my opinion! Friday night will be colder than tonight... I've been threatening to move to the South Pole if the weather doesn't get a little warmer soon! lol!
The above pic was taken at ICE in Orlando this year! Ice is defined as 2 million pounds of ice sculpted into beautiful displays! It is an amazing sight to behold for sure!! Maybe I'll post some more pics of it soon! I am going to go for now but I'll post more soon! Got a field trip tomorrow and I definitely NEED my beauty rest! lol! Sleep Tight!

Scripture Saturday!

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. I Thessalonians 5:24

Praise the Lord that He is faithful! He always keeps His word and Jesus will purify our hearts and help us to live above sin!! These are some of my favorite verses! It is so encouraging to know that if we will let Him, God will sanctify our hearts and mold us into usable vessels for His work!!

THE CHOSEN VESSEL
The Master was searching for a vessel to use;
On the shelf there were many - which one would He choose?
Take me, cried the gold one, I'm shiny and bright,
I'm of great value and I do things just right.
My beauty and luster will outshine the rest
And for someone like You, Master, gold would be the best!
The Master passed on with no word at all;
He looked at a silver urn, narrow and tall;
I'll serve You, dear Master, I'll pour out Your wine
And I'll be at Your table whenever You dine,
My lines are so graceful, my carvings so true,
And my silver will always compliment You.
Unheeding the Master passed on to the brass,
It was wide mouthed and shallow, and polished like glass.
Here! Here! cried the vessel, I know I will do,
Place me on Your table for all men to view.
Look at me, called the goblet of crystal so clear,
My transparency shows my contents so dear,
Though fragile am I, I will serve You with pride,
And I'm sure I'll be happy in Your house to abide.
The Master came next to a vessel of wood,
Polished and carved, it solidly stood.
You may use me, dear Master, the wooden bowl said,
But I'd rather You used me for fruit, not for bread!
Then the Master looked down and saw a vessel of clay.
Empty and broken it helplessly lay.
No hope had the vessel that the Master might choose,
To cleanse and make whole, to fill and to use.
Ah! This is the vessel I've been hoping to find,
I will mend and use it and make it all Mine.
I need not the vessel with pride of its self;
Nor the one who is narrow to sit on the shelf;
Nor the one who is big mouthed and shallow and loud;
Nor one who displays his contents so proud;
Not the one who thinks he can do all things just right;
But this plain earthy vessel filled with My power and might.
Then gently He lifted the vessel of clay.
Mended and cleansed it and filled it that day.
Spoke to it kindly. There's work you must do,
Just pour out to others as I pour into you.
B. V. Cornwall
How very true this poem is! God will not sanctify us until we are willing to be clay in the Master's hands. We have to be ready to be used for the Lord's use and be quick to serve Him, when He tells us to do something. Whenever we get to the point that we are completely yielded to God, then He is faithful to us and will sanctify us for His use! The Holy Spirit will tenderly lead us in the perfect will of God! Thank the Lord for heart purity!!
Yesterday I went to Bradenton with My Mom, Mam-ma, Aunt Kathy, Aunt Char, Luke, Emily, Kayla, and Jenny. We went to some thrift stores and I got an adorable new skirt!! (I got some other stuff too! :-) I didn't find any fabric for my dress but I did get some ideas! I am really getting excited about graduating!! I was somewhat nervous for awhile about graduating, but the Lord has helped me to get over this nervousness. I will still be God's the day after I graduate, just as I was the day before and as I am now! Jesus knows exactly what I will do and He already has my life planned out, so why should I worry? Jesus WILL take care of me!!
I hope you all have a wonderful Lord's Day revelling in His presence! I will be posting more soon! Until then, Keep Smilin'!!

Giving some roses to...

My Mom! She is my friend, confidant, shopping buddy, my venting place, plus SO much more! I cannot thank her enough for her love and her patience with me. Without my Mom I don't know what I would have done when hard situations came my way. Mom has a listening ear and a way of making any problem seem much smaller. She also makes sure I keep everything in perspective. Mom prays with me and does everything possible to help make my days better! You're the best, Mom! I love you!

My Dad! He inspires me to reach for my goals, with a you can do anything seeing as you have a dad like me! smile! I think the thing I love best about Dad is that he surprises you with compliments or a card! He loves to tease me but he does because he loves me! I sure have missed him since he's been gone to Ocala, but we always get to spend time together on the weekends. Dad always cooks us breakfast on Sunday morning's and without fail he makes chocolate milk just for me! Poppy is very protective of his family and would do anything for Mom and Me. You're terriffic Pop! I love you!

Giving Thanks for a Wonderful Day!!

Just a quick note to praise the Lord for a beautiful day! The weather was GORGEOUS!! It was in the low 70's and there was a beautiful breeze!

I had to recite a stanza from the poem, "To a Mouse" today. It went like this... Poor little mousie you are not alone in proving that looking ahead may be vain. The best-laid plans of mice and men have often gone astray and led us no where but grief and pain instead of the promised joy. The poem really was kinda funny but that particular stanza isn't really... Oh well I love poetry!! In fact I love writing of any kind!

We were released at 1:30 instead of 2:30 from school, which was AWESOME!!!

My dad is coming home early this week!!! He will be home tomorrow night. I have to work on Saturday but at least I'll be able to be with him a little more! The house will probably be done around the first of February. Dad brought pics home last weekend and it shaping up nicely!!

I am going to close for now but I'll be posting more soon! Oh by the way, if you think about it, say a prayer for Grace's Mom and Sister. They are flying back home tomorrow and I'm sure they would appreciate your prayers.

Keep Smilin' cause' Jesus Loves You!!

LISTEN!! Do you hear anything different?

Yep! You guessed it! I FINALLY got around to putting a play list of some of my favorite songs
on my blog. I have wanted to put one on ever since I started my blog, but I really didn't
know how. So this afternoon I got on and tinkered around until I figured it out. :-) I LOVE
music and the songs that are on my blog are some of my favorites. My top favorite has
to be Majesty! The medley played by the Don Marsh Orchestra, gives me goosebumps!
When I stop and think about His Majesty and all the glory that surrounds Him, I stand
in awe. And then I think that He takes time to talk to me, an insignificant piece of
humanity. What an AWESOME God we serve!! I just came across the song
Moment of Time from Majesty Music which is Patch the Pirates music. If you have not
heard it PLEASE listen to it! It is beautiful! The song is SO true. My whole life was
changed in a moment of time, my sin was gone and my heart was free at last! My heart
has been SO full this week. God has been close and He has filled my cup until it is
overflowing! The devil had been fighting me but it God has given "wings as eagles" and I
am now "soaring" above the troubles of life! God has given little blessings all week and
I am so appreciative of His love and gentleness! He is EVERYTHING to me!

Nathan had the devotional tonight and did really good! The Lord helped him to give
a stirring talk on trusting the Lord with our WHOLE heart. He talked about the
reasons why we should trust God as well as some of the benefits of trusting Him.
One thing he said really stuck out to me, this is not the actual quote but it is along this
line. If we do not trust God with everything then we are saying that we love the devil
more than God, because whoever we love more is who we will trust more. I have
been asking God to help me to trust Him and learn to lean on His arms.

The Lord gave me some thoughts this week from the Scriptures, that is really neat!
I love it when the Lord opens something up to you and then gives you thoughts so
fast you can't even hardly write them down. There is something so awesome about
being spoken to by God! I love Him and want my life to shine with the light of His
love, so that others can see Him in me.

I am going out of town on Friday to look for material for my graduation dress! I am
getting SO excited!!!!! I only have 4 more months until I will be out of school!! YEAH!!
My friend Bethany is also graduating from High School this year, and we have been
yakking about that as well as many, many, many other things! Bethany and I have been
friends for almost two years and she is like a sister to me and we have a great time talking
on the phone! I think we have solved all the worlds problems! LOL! We came to the
conclusion that if everyone would listen to us, life would go smoother! LOL LOL!!!
Just kidding! We talk about everything practically and have shared tears and
laughs! Good Friends like that are hard to come by, but God searched the world
over and brought only the BEST into my life!! Nathan, Bethany, Kristen, and Brittany
you all are awesome!

I guess I need to sign off for now but I'll be posting more
soon!! Take care everyone!

Scripture Saturday... Praise the Lord!

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped : therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth ; and with my song will I praise him. Psalms 28:7

May the name of Jesus be lifted up and glorified for He is great and worthy to be praised! I pray that the following poem will bless your heart as it did mine!

THE ONE
The One who placed the stars in space
Makes snowflakes like soft spun lace.
The One who puts the sun to bed
Counts the hairs upon our heads.
The One who carved the awesome Alps
Sat the small child on His lap.
The One who fragrances the flowers
Keeps the world by His power.
The One who is called Judah's lion
Took on Himself a servant's mind.
The One whose strength knows no defeat
Stooped to wash His servant's feet.
The One who is the first and last
Pled that the cruel cup might pass.
The One who is the great I Am
Became the sacrificial lamb.
The One whose days are without end
Bled and died for sinful men.
The One who formed men from His breath
Rose from the grave...conquered death.
The One who keeps us in His care
Knows our thoughts and hears our prayers.
The One to whom our hearts must sing
Jesus our Lord, our God, our King!
This poem was written by Deanna Malawy.
Jesus truly is EVERYTHING we need! I love the Lord and am so thankful to counted as a child of God! May you have a wondeful day reflecting on the good things of our Saviour!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Hope you all have had a wonderful first day of 2009! Although we do not know what this year holds for us, we can rest in the knowledge that God is in control and HE knows what is going to happen and has already set aside special grace for His children!

This year promises to be eventful with my seventeenth birthday just a little over two months away and graduation four months away! I know that the next few months will be extremely busy, but I am excited! I will soon begin to write my speech and I have already begun Senior Pictures as well as picking out Graduation Announcements. Seeing as how I will probably be blogging alot more about graduation stuff, I guess I better tell you a little about it.

First--The colors are Navy and pastel yellow. My gown will be Navy and Emily and Jenny's gowns will be light blue. (They will be graduating form kindergarten.) I think the secondary color in the tassel will be white, seeing as how I can only find mustard yellow and gold. Yech! :-)

Second--The theme will be daisies. Since the ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. I didn't want a real heavy look, so I brought in the light yellow and daisies to give it a more relaxed and springy feel. I want the decorations to give off a sense joy and excitement and most of all I want my guests to enjoy themselves and celebrate this milestone that the Lord has led me to.

There are many more details that I could tell you but I am not going to tell you! You'll just have to come to Bethel Holiness Church on May sixteenth at ten o'clock to find out the rest! smile...

I have to be at work in less than three hours and my mom and I are going to take the rest of Sister McNees' Christmas stuff down before Mum drops me off at work, I suppose I should sign off for now. Have a great evening everyone and keep smilin'!
